Apple’s summer is usually a quieter time for hardware launches, as WWDC kicks off a major focus on software instead. Nonetheless, we’re expecting the following:

  • AirTag 2: Better range and privacy features.
  • M4 Mac Studio: First M4 Ultra chip.
  • M4 Mac Pro: Largely unknown, likely unveiled at WWDC but launching later.

I’d be happy if they fixed the buggy software and go back to it just works philosophy. Every update seems to bring more bugs to my iPhone and iPad.

There are always ways Apple could surprise us with new products not listed above.

For example, it would be a great year to launch a new Studio Display alongside the Mac Studio and Mac Pro. Additionally, an M5 Vision Pro is expected to go into production in the second half of the year, which could mean a 2025 launch or perhaps early 2026.

Possible surprises aside, it looks like an especially busy year ahead for Apple hardware releases.
