Apple releases visionOS 2.4 beta 4 with watchOS 11.4, tvOS 18.4

The newest Apple beta releases have arrived. Developers can now install beta 4 of visionOS 2.4, watchOS 11.4, tvOS 18.4, and more.

Update 4:20 p.m. ET: Public betas are now also available for watchOS, tvOS, and HomePod updates.

Upcoming software brings Apple Intelligence to Vision Pro and refinements to TV app

Apple continues to prepare its latest lineup of software updates for public release.

Arriving just a week after the beta 3 updates, Apple has now shipped developer beta 4 for visionOS 2.4, tvOS 18.4, HomePod 18.4, and more.

The most exciting and feature-packed of these upcoming releases is easily visionOS.

Vision Pro is getting its first Apple Intelligence features in visionOS 2.4, plus enhancements to guest mode, a new Spatial Gallery app, and more.

On the Apple TV 4K side, tvOS 18.4 doesn’t have any major new features, but there are some nice enhancements to the TV app’s design.

Updates to the Apple TV app include:

  1. Large plus button on featured titles for easily adding to Watchlist
  2. Episode release schedule highlighted prominently
  3. Revised fonts and icons throughout

No current changes are known for watchOS 11.4 or HomePod 18.4. Though they are sure to include the standard ‘bug fixes and performance improvements’ that Apple’s smaller updates bring.

What to expect from beta 4 and release timing

We’re just a few weeks away from the expected public launch date for these various software versions. This means a couple things.

First, today’s updates are unlikely to introduce much of anything in terms of visible changes, but they will hopefully be more stable and bug-free than before.

Second, even if you don’t have a developer account with Apple, you won’t have to wait long to get these updates on your devices. Early April is the expected release timing.
