iOS 18.4.1 now available with CarPlay fix and more

Apple has just released a new iPhone update for users: iOS 18.4.1 is available now. Here’s what to expect.

iOS 18.4.1 focuses on bug fixes and stability, including CarPlay issue

Apple first released iOS 18.4 at the end of March, a little ahead of its expected April debut.

But as often happens, the new release introduced some bugs that Apple needed to quickly fix.

iOS 18.4.1 is that bug fix release, offering minor changes to the iPhone software.

Here are Apple’s short but sweet release notes:

This update provides important bug fixes, security updates, and addresses a rare issue that prevents wireless CarPlay connection in certain vehicles.

In other words, there are no new features here to be found.

However, installing iOS 18.4.1 should hopefully make your iPhone run smoother than it was before, including solving the wireless CarPlay issue some have experienced.

If you held off installing iOS 18.4 until Apple shipped a bug fix update, then there are actually a lot of new goodies to check out, including Control Center upgrades, Apple Photos changes, a handy recipe feature, and more.

Have you installed iOS 18.4.1? How’s it running for you? Let us know in the comments.
