Slow Horses gets season 7 renewal, three new seasons coming to Apple TV+

Apple TV+ has had its best year ever so far, and it’s bound to continue with returning hits this fall like the recently announced Slow Horses season 5. But with another announcement today, Apple confirmed we’ll keep getting new Slow Horses episodes for a long while yet: seasons 6 and 7 are now both official.

Slow Horses season 7 is now official, likely for 2027

Out of all the shows on Apple TV+, none has been as consistently produced and released as Slow Horses.

The spy thriller starring Gary Oldman has been a hit with critics and audiences alike since it debuted in 2022, and Apple has been aggressive at renewing the series far quicker than its other shows.

For example, Apple often announces a new season renewal while there’s still a separate unaired season yet to premiere.

But today’s announcement goes even further.

Apple has officially renewed Slow Horses for season 7.

That’s right, this fall season 5 will air, and season 6 had already been confirmed last fall.

So if you’re keeping track, there are three brand new seasons of Slow Horses now confirmed for release.

Joining the current four available seasons, Apple is committed to releasing:

  • Slow Horses season 5
  • Slow Horses season 6
  • Slow Horses season 7

The seventh season will be based on the book “Bad Actors,” part of Mick Herron’s Slough House series.

Here’s Apple’s short teaser:

In season seven, Lamb and his Slow Horses are on the hunt to find and neutralize a mole at the heart of British Government before they can bring down the state.

With the current release cadence, we’ll likely see Slow Horses season 7 premiere on Apple TV+ in 2027—and by then, perhaps the show will be locked up through 2030.

Apple TV+ is available for $9.99 per month and features hit TV shows and movies like Ted LassoSeveranceThe Morning ShowSilo, and Shrinking.
