iOS 26 beta 4 adds new Dynamic option for iPhone wallpaper

iOS 26 beta 4 is available now, and the public beta is expected soon too. Besides adding more liquid back into the Liquid Glass design, the new beta also introduces a new Dynamic wallpaper option. Here are the details.

Dynamic wallpaper changes colors automatically in iOS 26 beta 4

Like it does every year, Apple has a new default iPhone wallpaper coming in iOS 26. The new default added several different color options in the last beta, too.

You can choose from:

  • Dusk
  • Halo
  • Shadow
  • Sky

Most of these skew blue-green in various shades, but dusk is more of a purple-pink combo.

Now as of iOS 26 beta 4, there’s no longer a need to choose between colors.

That’s because Apple has added a new Dynamic option for the wallpaper.

Here’s a video of it in action:

Available as a fifth option when editing your wallpaper, Dynamic works just like iOS 18’s Dynamic option did last year.

Essentially, your iPhone wallpaper will shift colors throughout the day, shifting between the four separate color options automatically at different intervals.

I was a big fan of the Dynamic option in iOS 18, so it’s great to see it added in iOS 26 too.
