tvOS 26 beta 5 now available for Apple TV 4K

Apple TV users, there’s a new tvOS 26 beta rolling out today. tvOS 26 beta 5 is now available for download.

Latest Apple TV software update arrives for developers

Next month, tvOS 26 is expected to ship publicly to all users. But for now, Apple continues refining the brand new update with another beta release.

tvOS 26 beta 5 is available now for developers, with an accompanying public beta expected in the next day or so.

This is about the time in Apple’s normal summer beta cycle when designs and features start getting locked in. As a result, it’s unlikely we’ll see any huge changes or new features emerge after today’s release.

Apple’s focus for the next month will instead be on prioritizing stability.

This means moving forward, future betas should contain a lot of bug fixes and smaller refinements that improve performance overall.

When tvOS 26 ships to all users, it will include a new Liquid Glass design with TV app updates, plus iPhone karaoke mode, new FaceTime features, and more.

It’s worth noting, though, that certain Apple TV devices won’t support all of these features.

We’ll keep you posted on anything new discovered in tvOS 26 beta 5.
