iPhone 17 Pro knockoff running iOS 18 lookalike arrives a month early

It’s not hard to find knockoff hardware imitating name-brand electronics. Still, this one takes the cake.

Sonny Dickson shares photos of an alleged iPhone 17 Pro clone running a version of Android that is skinned to look like iPhone software.

Well, the old iPhone software, I guess. The actual iPhone 17 Pro will run iOS 26, of course, which is a complete redesign that can’t be mistaken for iOS 18. At least they got the wallpaper right. That’s the only iOS 26 thing about the Android skin. The real thing will probably have a device-specific wallpaper though. Still, knockoff hardware appearing based solely on leaks and rumors… that’s something.

For collectors of actual iPhone parts, Sonny Dickson recently launched a business that sells the first-gen iPhone taken apart and framed, as well as some very novel smartphones.
