Apple releases visionOS 26 developer beta 7

Alongside the new macOS 26 developer beta 7, Apple is also rolling out the seventh developer beta of visionOS 26, and the rest of its operating systems.

The build number for today’s visionOS 26 beta 7 release is 23M5328a.

If you want to enroll in the developer beta program for Apple Vision Pro, here’s what you’ve got to do:

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Choose “General”
  3. Choose “Software Update”
  4. Select “Beta Updates”
  5. Select “visionOS Developer Beta”

What’s new?

As announced on WWDC25, visionOS 26 brings spatial widgets, a much-improved Personas feature, support for 180-degree and 360-degree videos from action cams like Insta360 and GoPro, and PSVR 2 controllers.

It also features a new, Jupiter immersive environment, as well as support for Muse, a new stylus-like accessory from Logitech.

As for today’s release, Apple hasn’t yet detailed what (if any) new features or changes have been made, beyond the usual under-the-hood improvements and bug fixes.

We’re already digging in to see what’s new, but as always, if you spot any changes in today’s visionOS 26 beta 7, let us know in the comments.
