This is probably the strangest Beats collaboration in the Apple era

Disclaimer: Beats Pill speakers should not be consumed. Don’t tell that to this creature, though. Remember the Beats Pill Dude? He’s returning, at least in spirit, as a limited edition drop in select markets, starting with England next week.

The Beats Pill Dude predated Apple’s purchase of Beats in 2014.

That was then. This is now. Verdy mascot Vear is back as a Beats Pill speaker holder with big collectible energy. This is the version that was released in 2024:

This year, the adorable Vear (who I think is a bear) is hungry for the Beats Pill:

The 2025 Verdy x Beats collaboration lands next week on August 21, according to Verdy and Beats, exclusively in London to start. Later this year, the unique collectible will pop up in the US, Japan, and China.

MacRumors notes that the $150 standalone speaker will retail for £380 in London, which converts to $513 USD, when sold with the limited edition bundle. You can take home a new Beats Pill for under $100 for now — animated creature stand sold separately.
