New iPhone 17 Pro leak claims to show Dynamic Island redesign

One of the oldest iPhone 17 Pro rumors has just reappeared: Apple may be shrinking the Dynamic Island this year after all, but only on the Pro and Pro Max. Here’s what that might look like per the latest leak.

Smaller Dynamic Island shown on iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max renders

Apple is about to reveal full details on its entire iPhone 17 lineup. But for a few more days, we’re left with rumors and leaks.

The latest leak comes from the account that_one_g3 on X, who posted images depicting a smaller Dynamic Island for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max (via MacRumors).

The account has no history of prior Apple leaks, so take it with a grain of salt.

However, there have been plenty of prior rumors about Apple shrinking the Dynamic Island—particularly on its Pro models.

The leaker claims to work for a company that produces iPhone screen protectors.

Per the images in their workplace system, iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air will have the same 2cm Dynamic Island as prior models, while iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are 25% smaller, measuring 1.5cm.

It’s not unusual for last-minute leaks to emerge shortly before big product unveilings, as details that have long been kept hidden start coming to light.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple plans to further differentiate its Pro models by using a smaller Dynamic Island. But we’ll have to wait until Tuesday to find out for sure.

What do you think of the smaller Dynamic Island’s look on iPhone 17 Pro? Let us know in the comments.
