Apple TV+ has a sequel coming next month for one of its biggest hit films

Apple TV+ keeps adding to its strong lineup for the coming months. Yesterday the streamer announced the return of one of its best-reviewed series, and today a film, The Family Plan 2, got a release date in a prime holiday slot.

The Family Plan released in late 2023 and almost instantly became the most-watched film ever on Apple TV+ at the time.

Now, a sequel is on the way with the same stars, director, and a prime holiday release slot.

The Family Plan 2 will premiere Friday, November 21 on Apple TV+, just in time for Thanksgiving the following week.

Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Monaghan, Zoe Colletti, and Van Crosby are all back for the new film, and they’re joined by Game of Thrones alum Kit Harington.

Here’s the official plot summary:

In “The Family Plan 2,” it’s the holiday season and Dan (Mark Wahlberg) has planned the perfect vacation for his wife Jessica (Michelle Monaghan) and their kids to celebrate overseas — until a mysterious figure from his past (Kit Harington) shows up with unfinished business. An international game of cat-and-mouse ensues as Dan and his family battle, bicker and bond their way through a series of bank heists, holiday hijinks and car chases amid scenic European terrain.

The Family Plan is available to watch here on Apple TV+.

Apple TV+ is available for $12.99 per month and features hit TV shows and movies like Ted LassoSeveranceThe Morning ShowSilo, and Shrinking.
