Apple releases a black color version of the Magic Keyboard for iPad Air

Amid the new M5 chip goodness, Apple quietly refreshed its Magic Keyboard accessory for iPad Air with a new look.

Until now, the Magic Keyboard for iPad Air has only been available in white. From today, Apple is offering a black color option as well.

This addition aligns it more closely with the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro offering. However, it is still lacking the trademark Pro features like a backlight for the keys, and it still uses the same rubber/fabric material rather than the Pro keyboard’s aluminium case.

It’s quite simply, just a new color. But iPad Air fans will probably appreciate the new darker shade option as it is far less likely to accumulate dirt and imperfections compared to the white model.

As before, the Magic Keyboard for iPad Air is compatible with iPad Air (4th generation) and later. It is priced at $269 for the 11-inch model, and $369 for the 13-inch model.
