Apple talks M5 iPad Pro, hardware upgrades, and who it’s for in video interview

iPad Pro expert and all-around good guy Stephen Robles has an awesome interview with a couple of Apple folks that’s all about the new M5 model.

Apple’s most recent iPad Pro redesign happened last year when the M4 model became impossibly thin — especially the 13-inch model. Today the M5 upgrade is here as the new 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models officially hit stores and reach customers. In addition to a boost in processing power, the M5 iPad Pro line includes a number of other improvements like faster charging, higher performance cellular connectivity, and more.

In the video interview, Stephen Robles discusses all that and more with Ted Merendino and Ty Jordan from Apple’s iPad team. There’s even a surprise cameo of 9to5Mac’s own iPad-powered YouTuber Fernando Silva. By the end of the video, Apple’s messaging about who the iPad Pro is for versus other iPad models becomes clear.

Both the 11-inch iPad Pro (M5) and 13-inch iPad Pro (M5) are available starting today.
