Deals: M5 iPad Pro up to $100 off, iPad Pro Magic Keyboard $140 off, 24GB M3 MacBook Air $750 off, more

Today’s 9to5Toys Lunch Break is kicking off with the first notable Amazon discounts on the new M5 iPad Pro. The most affordable 13-inch is $50 off and we have a higher-end 2TB model at $100 off the list price. Those offers join a chance to land the compatible Magic Keyboard at up to $140 off as well as this 24GB M3 MacBook Air at up to $750 off the original price, the return of Prime Day pricing on Apple’s 4-pack of AirTags ($16 each), and even more down below.

Apple’s most affordable new 13-inch M5 iPad Pro is now $50 off at Amazon

Earlier this week we detailed some of the super early and light launch deals landing on the new M5 iPad Pro lineup at Amazon. They were…not so great, and we steered folks away from them. However, considering the best deals we have seen thus far were only available to paid Costco and Best Buy Plus and Total members, today’s $50 price drop at Amazon on the most affordable 13-inch is worth a look.

Amazon is now offering the brand new 13-inch M5 iPad Pro down at $1,249 shipped. This is the Space Black configuration with 256GB of storage at $50 off the regular $1,299 list price.

That’s clearly not a giant discount, but $50 is $50 and this is the lowest price we have tracked on the new M5 iPad Pro that just debuted last week at Amazon. And we are now talking about a deal that isn’t locked behind the paywalls at Costco and Best Buy. If you’re looking to get one in the early days here, you might as well save the $50.

While there likely isn’t very many folks clamouring to spend a fortune on the high-end models, and I mean basically the most premium M5 iPad Pro you can buy, Amazon is offering a straight up $100 off the 13-inch 2TB M5 iPad Pro with the nano-texture glass upgrade right now too.

Best Buy has 24GB M3 MacBook Airs at $750 off the orig. price today (Open-box, 1-yr. Apple warranty)

While we are still tracking the 13-inch 24GB M3 MacBook Air down at $999 in brand new condition, we also spotted a pretty wild offer on the 15-incher at Best Buy today. As part of its open-box program, you can land the original $1,699 M3 MacBook Air down at $947.99 shipped in “excellent” condition with a full warranty.

We have seen Amazon offering the 15-inch M3 MacBook Air with 24GB of RAM down at $1,099 in brand new condition more than a few times now. That price is a very good one for a brand new machine, but it has since jumped up and is now starting at $1,125 with most colors completely sold out.

Best Buy is however offering the Starlight 24GB M3 model down at$947.99 shipped in “excellent” open-box condition. It “works and looks like new” and ships with a 1-year Apple warranty.

  • Geek Squad Verified
  • Works and looks like new. Restored to factory settings.
  • Includes all parts and accessories. Packaging may vary or be absent.
  • 1-year warranty

It’s not brand new, but we are talking about a giant discount on a machine that started out at $1,899 before Apple ditched the 8GB RAM setup last fall. Here are some key historical and comparison prices to keep in mind here on this machine:

  • Original price: $1,899
  • New list price after RAM upgrade: $1,699

This is the previous-get M3 MacBook Air, but you will pay $1,599 at Apple for the comparable M4 variant and today’s M3 deal is still well below the $1,399 sale price we had on the 24GB 15-inch M4 model this summer and in recent months.

Amazon has the 16-inch 24GB M4 Pro MacBook Pro at $310 off today in Space Black

While we are still awaiting the official announcement of the new M5 Pro MacBook Pro models, the release of the base M5 has ushered in some notable discounts on the existing M4 Pro models with hundreds in savings. This morning you can add the base model 16-inch M4 Pro variant with 24GB of RAM at $310 off the list.

Amazon is now offering the Space Black 16-inch M4 Pro MacBook Pro with 24GB of RAM and the 512GB SSD down at $2,189.13 shipped. This is a regularly $2,499 configuration that is still fetching as much at B&H, and is now $310 off the list price.

Today’s deal is the best price we have tracked in several months on the Space Black variant of this configuration. Back in May and June there were a couple extremely short-lived offers for less than we have here today, but you’re otherwise looking at the lowest we have ever tracked on Amazon.

For reference, the Black Friday deal last year in this model had it at $2,299.

While some folks might just prefer to hold off on the new M5 Pro lineup at this point, it isn’t entirely clear when Apple will debut the pro-grade M5 chips and chances are you’re not going to be seeing a deal like today’s on one of those for a very long time.
