Apple just updated these apps for iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe

Apple has updated GarageBand for iOS 26. The updated version includes the new app icon that was previously spotted on Apple’s website. Apple also updated Pixelmator Pro and Photomator for macOS Tahoe, breaking the previous icons out of squircle jail.

Apple doesn’t highlight any feature changes in the latest GarageBand, Photomator, and Pixelmator Pro release notes.

Instead, the updates simply “include stability improvements and bug fixes,” although the apps will now look more at home on an iOS 26 app grid and macOS Tahoe Dock.

GarageBand for iPhone and iPad is available for free on the App Store. Photomator and Pixelmator Pro are available on the Mac. We’ll update our coverage if more Apple apps are updated as well.

We’re still awaiting iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe app updates for GarageBand for Mac, iMovie, Pages, Keynote, Numbers, and more.
