Update: Every size/color of the iPhone Pocket is now sold out in the United States.
Earlier this week, Apple announced iPhone Pocket, a new way to carry your iPhone designed in collaboration with ISSEY MIYAKE.
After special launch events yesterday, the iPhone Pocket is now available to order in select countries around the world. It’s a special-edition accessory, and several colors and sizes are already sold out.
Here’s how Apple describes the iPhone Pocket:
Crafted in Japan, iPhone Pocket features a singular 3D-knitted construction that is the result of research and development carried out at ISSEY MIYAKE. The design drew inspiration from the concept of “a piece of cloth” and reinterpreted the everyday utility of the brand’s iconic pleated clothing. The development and design of iPhone Pocket unfolded in close collaboration with the Apple Design Studio, which provided insight into design and production throughout.
iPhone Pocket can be worn handheld, tied onto bags, directly on your body, and more. The design fully encloses your iPhone as you carry it.

“The design of iPhone Pocket speaks to the bond between iPhone and its user, while keeping in mind that an Apple product is designed to be universal in aesthetic and versatile in use. iPhone Pocket explores the concept of ‘the joy of wearing iPhone in your own way.’ The simplicity of its design echoes what we practice at ISSEY MIYAKE — the idea of leaving things less defined to allow for possibilities and personal interpretation.”
iPhone Pocket is available to order from Apple’s website in France, Greater China, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the UK, and the US.
The “short strap” version of iPhone Pocket retails for $149.95 and is available in lemon, mandarin, purple, pink, peacock, sapphire, cinnamon, and black colors. The “long strap” version is $229.95 and comes in sapphire, cinnamon, and black.
Many of the iPhone Pocket color and size combinations are already sold out, though. You’ll have to act quick if you want to get one. You can also try your luck at one of the following Apple Store locations:
