Apple TV (only $5.99/month for Cyber Monday) is having its biggest year ever, and December brings its expected biggest movie yet with F1 The Movie. Other highlights for the month include new episodes of sci-fi hit Pluribus, a nature docuseries, and a brand new holiday special. Here’s everything new coming to Apple TV in December.
The First Snow of Fraggle Rock

- When: December 5
- What: Movie
- Genre: Kids & Family
In “The First Snow of Fraggle Rock,” The Fraggles eagerly await the first snow of the season and all the traditions it brings, but when only a single snowflake arrives and Gobo can’t write the yearly holiday song everyone is expecting, the season is thrown off course. For the first time ever, Gobo journeys to the human world, or as the Fraggles refer to it: Outer Space, to find some unexpected musical inspiration. And in another first, back at the Gorgs’ castle, Junior is overwhelmed by the arrival of a new baby Gorg joining the family. This holiday season, the Fraggles and Gorgs learn that beautiful moments aren’t always perfect — but they can be as unique and memorable as snowflakes.
F1 The Movie

- When: December 12
- What: Movie
- Genre: Sports Drama
In “F1 The Movie,” Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) was FORMULA 1’s most promising phenom of the 1990s until an accident on the track nearly ended his career. Thirty years later, he’s a nomadic racer-for-hire when he’s approached by his former teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), owner of a struggling FORMULA 1 team that is on the verge of collapse. Ruben convinces Sonny to come back to FORMULA 1 for one last shot at saving the team and being the best in the world. He’ll drive alongside Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), the team’s hotshot rookie intent on setting his own pace. But as the engines roar, Sonny’s past catches up with him and he finds that in FORMULA 1, your teammate is your fiercest competition — and the road to redemption is not something you can travel alone.
Born to Be Wild

- When: December 19
- What: TV Show
- Genre: Docuseries
“Born to Be Wild,” narrated by SAG Award winner Hugh Bonneville (“Paddington,” “Downton Abbey,” “The Secret Lives of Animals”), is a six-part documentary series following six endangered young animals as they grow up in our world but are destined to return to theirs. As each animal finds its place in the world after being orphaned or born through conservation programs — from an elephant calf and two young cheetahs, to a ring-tailed lemur pup, a moon bear cub, Iberian lynx kittens and rescued African penguins — “Born to Be Wild” offers an intimate and emotional look at the powerful relationships between these animals and the heroic humans dedicated to raising, rehabilitating and rewilding them to help save their species.
