If you’re a Formula 1 fan, this weekend is a big one as the 2026 season kicks off. And for US viewers, there’s a big change this year to where you can watch.

Apple TV is now the exclusive F1 streaming home in the US. All Apple TV or Apple One subscribers get access to the full slate of races, including practice, qualifying, and Sprint sessions.

You can subscribe to Apple TV here to watch all F1 races and 2026 coverage.

The first Grand Prix airs this Saturday, March 7, at 8 p.m. PT.

Apple has published a press release detailing what subscribers can expect this F1 season. Eddy Cue teases:

“This weekend marks the start of a new era for Formula 1 fans in the U.S…We’re excited to bring every moment of the season to Apple TV, delivering an immersive experience designed entirely around fans. Formula 1’s growth in America has been extraordinary, and we’re proud to build on that momentum — combining the power of Apple TV with the broader Apple ecosystem to create even more ways for fans to connect with the sport.”

F1 joining Apple TV doesn’t just mean there’s a new place to watch. The overall viewing experience will change too, and Apple details what to expect.

Watching F1 on Apple TV: What to expect, supported devices, more

Formula 1 will stream inside the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K, Vision Pro, Android, or on any smart TV or additional platform that offers Apple TV, such as Prime Video and Roku. You can also watch on the web.

In other words, you don’t have to own an Apple device to watch F1 on Apple TV.

Per the press release, here’s what to expect from F1 this season:

  • Streaming in 4K resolution with Dolby Vision—a first for F1
  • Comprehensive coverage and analysis
  • English and Spanish commentary options
  • Access to up to 30 additional live feeds across sessions
  • Sky Sports broadcasts as alternative option
  • Multiview support for up to four live feeds at once

Multiview is available on supported devices, including Apple TV 4K, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro. There will be a variety of Multiview layouts preconfigured that viewers can choose from with one tap. But Apple TV will also enable more personalization with the option to fully customize each of the live feeds.

If you prefer not to watch inside the Apple TV app, F1 TV Premium remains available and is included at no cost in the US for Apple TV subscribers.
