Apple teases Ted Lasso season 4 plot in new clip

Ted Lasso season 4 is coming this August, and Apple TV just shared a brief clip that teases the plot of the new season.

Ted Lasso season 4 clip shows Coach Beard reading a highly relevant book

Apple TV’s biggest show of the year is shaping up to be Ted Lasso’s season 4 return.

The beloved series is back this summer, and a brief new clip was just posted by Apple on X.

In it, Coach Beard is seen reading the book SoccerWomen by Gemma Clarke.

The book is Apple’s way of teasing the big new direction coming for the show’s plot in season 4.

Rather than returning to coach FC Richmond’s men’s team, Ted Lasso and Coach Beard are actually coaching a newly formed women’s team.

Here’s the official season 4 summary from Apple:

Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.
