iPhone Fold design leaks in purported 3D CAD rendering files

Apple is expected to announce an all-new iPhone with a foldable display later this year. Ahead of the unveil, Sonny Dickson has shared what looks like 3D CAD rendering files of the rumored iPhone Fold design.

Dickson’s tweet includes two images. Both appear to show the back of the iPhone Fold with a design that reflects rumored hardware specs. The design includes a camera plateau similar to the iPhone Air, except there are two cameras and not just one. The phone is also rounded on two corners and squared off on the other two where the hinge would be located.

Additionally, the design files appear to show the layout of the iPhone Fold when in open form, with a dot in the top left corner for the front-facing camera. Another image shows the phone’s outer sides both in open form and when closed with the outside display in view.

This happens to be the time of year when iPhone design files start to appear online more consistently. The files also reflect what recent rumors have claimed about the unreleased iPhone. You can find the latest iPhone Fold rumors here for more details.
