Apple announces 50th anniversary celebration is coming

Today alongside Apple CEO Tim Cook’s new letter, the company has announced a proper celebration of its 50th anniversary will happen “in the coming weeks.”

Apple has plans to celebrate 50th anniversary publicly

Apple has previously hinted that for its 50th anniversary on April 1, the company will have a true celebration.

For a company that often prefers to focus on the future rather than spend too much time in the past, this marks a notable shift.

We still don’t know exactly what that celebration will entail.

However, today alongside Tim Cook’s new ‘50 Years of Thinking Different’ letter, Apple officially announced that an official celebration is coming.

It published a press release titled: ‘Apple to celebrate 50 years of thinking different.’

From the press release on Apple Newsroom:

Apple today announced it will mark its 50th anniversary, celebrating five decades of thinking different and the innovations that have helped shape the way people connect, create, learn, and experience the world. […]

While Apple is known for looking forward, this milestone offers a special moment to reflect on the journey that has brought the company here, to celebrate the people and communities who have thought different with us, and to honor the enduring values that continue to guide our work. […]

In the coming weeks, Apple and its global community will celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary, recognizing the creativity, innovation, and impact that people around the world have made possible with Apple technology.

CEO Tim Cook’s letter today is therefore only the start of whatever celebrations are planned for “Apple and its global community.”

We’ll keep you posted as more details on the 50th anniversary celebration are shared.
