New iPhone Fold details include rumored RAM, storage, and pricing

The iPhone Fold is coming this fall, and new rumors today outline what to expect from included RAM, storage, and pricing.

iPhone Fold specs and potential pricing outlined in latest rumors

Earlier this week, several leaks brought fresh details on the iPhone 18 Pro. Now today, the latest rumors focus on iPhone Fold.

Apple’s first foldable iPhone is launching this September alongside iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.

Per a new report at The Bell, the iPhone Fold will have the same 12GB of RAM as Apple’s Pro models—and matching iPhone 17 Pro.

Samsung is reportedly the supplier of Apple’s 12GB LPDDR5X order.

Regarding storage, leaker Instant Digital says the foldable will come in three storage tiers:

  • 256GB
  • 512GB
  • 1TB

These three tiers are one shy of what’s available on iPhone 17 Pro Max, which also offers a 2TB option. But they match the three tiers of the smaller iPhone 17 Pro.

Instant Digital also outlined his expected pricing for each model.

His listed prices of 15,999, 17,999, and 19,999 yuan. And as pointed out by Macworld, these would align with the following likely US prices:

  • $1,999 for 256GB
  • $2,199 for 512GB
  • $2,399 for 1TB

All of these represent a significant jump over the current most expensive iPhone. But they are very much in line with many prior rumors that iPhone Fold will cost between $2,000 and $2,400.

What are your current iPhone purchase plans for this fall? Would you spend $2,000 on a foldable iPhone, or opt for another model? Let us know in the comments.
