Apple prepares for WWDC 2026 and iOS 27 by expanding its reach

Apple has expanded its developer reach, specifically in China, ahead of iOS 27’s unveiling at WWDC 2026 in June. This week, Apple Developer joined bilibili, the Chinese video sharing platform, where it has already published 32 developer-focused videos.

Since joining and uploading app development-centric content 13 hours ago, Apple has picked up more than 17,600 followers and 6,000 likes.

The Apple Developer user account on bilibili can be followed here. You can see an example of an Apple Developer video on bilibili here.

A verified Apple Developer account joined YouTube in 2024. Both platforms share a lot of the same content, with bilibili primarily focusing on a Chinese audience.

While the content currently focuses on WWDC 2025 and iOS 26 technologies, Apple is expected to hold its Worldwide Developers Conference in June where it will unveil iOS 27 and more.

Last fall, prior to the iPhone 17 launch, Apple similarly joined another Chinese social media platform, RedNote.

More recently, Apple launched a new ‘Hello Apple’ Instagram account to kick off its 50th anniversary celebration.

Apple Developer has also joined LinkedIn. You can follow the new account here.

Apple will likely confirm the dates for WWDC 2026 next week. Last year, Apple announced WWDC 2025 on Tuesday, March 25.
