This is the cutoff time for ensuring a fast iPhone 17 pre-order

Pre-orders for the iPhone 17 line and iPhone Air kick off tomorrow morning at 5:00 a.m. PT. But if you want the fastest, smoothest pre-order process possible, Apple just announced the cutoff time for its ‘Get Ready’ option that speeds things up.

Last chance to prep for iPhone 17 or iPhone Air pre-orders is tonight at 9 p.m. PT

For many years now, Apple has sought to streamline the iPhone pre-ordering process as much as possible.

Amid the rush of shoppers all seeking to pre-order a new iPhone at the same time, you can get a welcome advantage by pre-selecting your iPhone model ahead of time.

This is essentially a ‘pre’ pre-order process. And it’s exclusive to the online Apple Store and Apple Store app.

But there’s a cutoff time for when your pre-selections have to be saved by.

From Apple’s new press release:

From now until 9 p.m. PDT this evening, customers can get a jump on pre-ordering the latest-generation iPhone by choosing their desired model, accessories, carrier, payment method — which includes pre-approval for financing — and trade-in option if eligible. Once their shopping bag is saved, customers will only be one click away when pre-order opens tomorrow morning.

If you plan to buy a new iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro or Pro Max, or iPhone Air this Friday morning, I highly recommend walking through the ‘Get Ready’ process ahead of time in the Apple Store app or on Apple.com.

The deadline for saving your pre-order selections is 9:00 p.m. PT / 11:00 p.m. CT / 12:00 a.m. ET tonight, September 11.

Still on the fence about which new model to buy? Here are Apple’s recommendations.

As long as you save your iPhone 17 or iPhone Air pre-order selections before tonight’s deadline, you should have a quick checkout process tomorrow morning.
