iOS 26 RC users have a new update available for download

iOS 26 shipped to all users yesterday, but it came with a build number that was different than the RC previously available to beta testers. Now, one day later, Apple has released that public version for beta testers too.

iOS 26.0 public build now available for beta testers too

If you’ve been running the iOS 26 beta before now, Apple has a new update available for you today.

However, it’s not the iOS 26.1 release many have been excitedly anticipating.

Instead, Apple has just shipped an updated build of iOS 26.0 to beta testers.

That’s because there’s a slight variation between the previously released iOS 26 RC and what shipped to the public on Monday.

The iOS 26 RC from last week carried build number 23A340.

But the public shipping version was 23A341.

Until now, the only way for beta testers to see the most up-to-date build was by disabling Beta Updates inside the Software Update section in Settings.

Now, that’s no longer necessary. Beta testers who check the Software Update screen will see a brand new version of iOS 26 to install—likely with no discernible changes.

Alongside iOS 26, Apple has simultaneously released new beta builds for macOS Tahoe, watchOS 26, and its other updates to match up with the publicly shipped builds.

Today’s releases aren’t anything to get excited about, as you’re unlikely to find any real changes. But it allows Apple to move all users—beta and otherwise—on to the same software builds.
