Although Meta hasn’t announced it yet, some WhatsApp users are already seeing the revamped interface adopting Apple’s new Liquid Glass design language. Here’s what it looks like.
This week, WhatsApp rolled out an update on iOS that brings support to Live Photos, as well as on-device translation for text messages.
For some users, however, the update also brought Liquid Glass compatibility, with the tab bar being its most notable change.

As noted by WABetaInfo, this may be a limited test by Meta, ahead of a broader rollout. The company began experimenting with Liquid Glass support in the WhatsApp beta last month, and now some users on the public version are reportedly getting it as well.
Due to its massive global user base, WhatsApp tends to roll out major changes very slowly, compared to other platforms.
In its release notes, WhatsApp typically notes that some of its new features may take weeks to reach everyone. So if you don’t have access to the Liquid Glass interface yet, give it a few days, as it should show up soon.
