Just a few days after releasing macOS 26.2, Apple is now rolling out the first developer beta for macOS 26.3. Here’s what’s coming.
Here’s what to expect from macOS 26.3
With macOS 26.2, Apple introduced a few previously unannounced features and capabilities, including the Edge Light effect, which adds a ring light to the Mac’s display during video sessions, and a low-latency cluster feature that enables connecting multiple Macs together using Thunderbolt 5.
Interestingly, Apple chose not to touch on multiple AI-related features it began laying the groundwork for on macOS 26.1, including a new framework that will make its operating systems compatible with MCP, or Model Context Framework, which lets AI systems interact with tools and platforms, from Zapier, to Google Docs, and beyond.
For macOS 26.3, Apple is expected to continue laying this groundwork, possibly ahead of a macOS 26.4 launch, alongside the long-overdue revamped Siri and other Apple Intelligence improvements.
We are digging through the code for today’s betas and will report back with what we find. The release build for macOS 26.3 developer beta 1 is 25D5087f.
