Three new MacBooks were announced by Apple this week

Today marks three days straight of Apple product launches, with the MacBook Neo being the third new Mac to debut. Here are details on the three new MacBooks that have been announced.

#1: MacBook Neo

Price: $599 for base model

MacBook Neo is a brand new member of the Mac family, and the most accessible MacBook yet.

The new model’s price might be its best feature, but the fun color options are another highlight.

MacBook Neo comes in silver, blush, citrus, and indigo.

It’s powered by an A18 Pro chip, which first debuted in the iPhone.

The Neo is intended for PC and Chromebook switchers who are new to the Mac, but it’s also a great option for anyone whose computing needs are limited to basic tasks like web browsing, email, and messaging.

Pre-orders are now open for the MacBook Neo, which ships next Wednesday, March 11.

#2: M5 MacBook Air

Price: $1,099 for base model

Apple updated the MacBook Air this week with a more powerful M5 chip.

M5 comes with solid gains over last year’s M4, especially in the GPU thanks to the addition of Neural Accelerators.

The new MacBook Air also starts at 512GB of storage—double the previous generation—and Apple says SSD speeds are up to 2x faster than the M4 model.

Apple’s N1 wireless chip comes to MacBook Air too, enabling Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support.

MacBook Air is Apple’s most popular laptop, and the M5 model makes it even better.

#3: MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max

Price: $2,199 for base model

Last fall, the 14-inch MacBook Pro was updated with an M5 chip, but higher-end chips and the 16-inch model remained limited to the M4 generation. Now the wait for high-end M5 updates is over.

This week’s new MacBook Pro brings M5 Pro and M5 Max chips to the 14-inch and 16-inch models.

M5 Pro and M5 Max power Apple’s most powerful MacBooks ever, and introduce “super cores” that Apple says are the fastest CPU cores in the world.

Base storage on the MacBook Pro is higher than ever: 1TB for M5 Pro models and 2TB for M5 Max.

Battery life on M5 Max models is slightly better than the M4 generation, while M5 Pro models are identical to M4.

The new MacBook Pro also has an N1 wireless chip for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.

You can pre-order the MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max here on Amazon.
