From 2009-2021, Bradley worked for a private school, running the information technology department and technology integration in the classroom. He manages a network of 15 switches, 100+ access points, hundreds of Macs and iPads, and multiple phone systems across four separate campuses across the city. He’s well-versed in enterprise Wi-Fi, macOS and iOS system management, school technology, and SaaS tools. Currently, he works at Cribl, where he runs content marketing, helping companies understand how to manage observability data best. As someone who had the only Mac in the company I worked for 20 years ago, it’s been a fun journey to see Apple grow so much in the enterprise, particularly the Mac. Macs have quietly become the go-to device for a lot of modern knowledge work, and with that comes a growing reality as AI functionality becomes baked into everything. AI tools are everywhere. Time Machine still works great. It’s one of those Apple features that quietly does its job, but it also feels like something from another era in terms of technology. Migrating between Device Management Services (DMS) usually involved full device wipes, custom scripts, and hoping everything re-enrolled properly. Some vendors leaned into that pain. They’d offer bargain pricing in year one, then quietly ratchet it up over time. Because what were IT teams going to do?
