There’s a new feature in iOS 18 that you probably haven’t heard about. With the all-new Photos app, Apple has added a new “Recovered” album that will show you previously lost or damaged photos and videos that remain on your device.

One of iOS 18’s many new customization features is the ability to uniformly tint the color of your app icons. But the latest beta revealed another nice change: both first-party and third-party app icons will automatically change when in dark mode, without developers needing to do a thing. Thanks to some digging from Gui Rambo, we now know how that works.

Apple is now rolling out updated builds of iOS 18 beta 3 and macOS Sequoia beta 3. The revised builds come a week after the original beta 3 was released and are a strong indication that the company is gearing up to launch the first iOS 18 and macOS 15 public betas.
