Last week, I took a look at my 2020 iCloud wishlist. I got several kind words from readers with other things they wanted to see, so I am back this week with another wishlist. This week, it’s my 2020 Apple wishlist across the rest of its software and hardware. Apple was firing on all cylinders in 2019, so I am hoping that 2020 is another excellent year. From new hardware, iOS 14, to the continued expansion of iPadOS, here’s what I am hoping to see from Apple this year.

I recently had the incredible experience of attending a SpaceX rocket launch at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. NASA Social hosted the event that included close-up access to NASA’s massive Vehicle Assembly Building, the historic 39B launch pad, and an awesome view of a Falcon 9 rocket launch.

Below are some of my favorite shots captured on the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Some of these required the new ultra-wide camera to fully capture the scene.

Moen has made three announcements in conjunction with Flo Technologies at CES introducing a new standalone smart water leak detector that can work on its own or pair with the Flo by Moen Smart Water Shutoff, an update to its FloSense software and iOS app, as well as a new smart kitchen faucet.

Nintendo has officially launched the beta of its highly anticipated real-time multiplayer mode for Mario Kart Tour. The beta testing period is available starting immediately and runs through December 26 – but it’s limited to Gold Pass subscribers.

Apple today is releasing the first developer beta of iOS 13.3.1 and iPadOS 13.3.1. This comes after the general release of iOS 13.3 last week, which included several new features for iPhone, iPad, and HomePod. iOS 13.3.1 focuses on bug fixes and performance improvements.

Update: The first developer betas of macOS Catalina 10.15.3, iOS 13.3.1, iPadOS 13.3.1, and tvOS 13.3.1 are now available. watchOS 6.1.2 beta 1 is also now available.

Apple today released a new version of its iTunes Remote app for iOS, which has not been updated for more than a year. Version 4.5 of the app features Dark Mode and enhanced support for the new Music and TV apps included with macOS Catalina.

After over two weeks of silence, Apple today has released the fourth developer of iOS 13.3 and iPadOS 13.3. Apple is also releasing the fourth public beta of iOS 13.3 today as well. tvOS 13.3 beta 4 is also now available, as is watchOS 6.1.1 beta 4.

Remember FaceApp? It went viral over the summer as a way to transform your selfies with aging effects, glasses, and more. Almost immediately after it went viral, users started voicing concerns over the app’s privacy policy and its ties to Russia. This prompted US Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to call on the FBI to investigate FaceApp for potential national security concerns.

Now, the FBI has officially responded to Schumer’s request, stating that apps developed in Russia, including FaceApp, to be “potential counterintelligence threats.”
