Here’s how iPhone 17 Pro will differentiate itself from previous iPhone models

iPhone 17 event scheduled for September 9, according to carrier documents | Render of iPhone 17 Pro

In a world where year over year iPhone upgrades are getting smaller and smaller, it can sometimes seem like every recent iPhone looks and feels the same. iPhone 17 Air is stunningly thin compared to iPhone 16 Pro in latest leak

iPhone 17 Air dummy unit

We’re probably 132 days away from the iPhone 17 actually being announced, yet it’s starting to feel like the iPhone 17 has been out for that long.

Now, a new leak from Jon Prosser reveals an exclusive software feature coming to the Camera app for this year’s Pro models.

8K video recording on the iPhone 17 backed by leaker

iPhone 17 Pro concept

We noted ahead of the iPhone 16 launch that the device could technically support 8K video recording, but it was possible Apple would hold this back for the iPhone 17.

Apple did indeed withhold it from the iPhone 16 – arguably with good reason – and a leaker with a decent track record backs our expectation that 8K video capability will be offered in the iPhone 17 line-up …
