Apple will begin taking reservations for Apple Vision Pro demo sessions at Apple Store locations in the US starting Monday. In-store demos start today for walk-in customers on a first come, first serve basis.

It’s officially Apple Vision Pro launch day in the United States. After being announced at WWDC back in June, Apple’s first spatial computer is now available to the masses. The first pre-orders are starting to arrive on customer doorsteps, and the first Apple Stores are now open for in-store pick-ups.

Plus, today marks the first day of Apple Vision Pro demos at Apple stores across the United States.

Some users have been wondering how to recover the Vision Pro firmware if it fails, and now we know that you can do it using an iPhone.

Apple Vision Pro is an extremely personal and individual device. Even so, Apple has created a “Guest User” mode so that you can let your friends and family try out the headset without accessing your personal data. However, sharing your Vision Pro with others won’t be a seamless process.

Unity on Wednesday announced the official launch of its tools to help developers build extended reality (XR) apps for Apple Vision Pro. With these tools, apps can take advantage of Unity’s technology known as “PolySpatial” to display 3D elements that interact with the real world.

Ahead of Vision Pro’s official launch on Friday, Microsoft has officially revealed all of its plans for Apple’s new visionOS platform. In a blog post, the company confirmed that Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and Loop will be available on the App Store in Apple Vision Pro.

We’re just two days away from Vision Pro arriving to the first customers and ahead of the launch, Apple has issued a security patch. To protect against a WebKit flaw that’s been actively exploited, you’ll want to make sure to update to visionOS 1.0.2.

For the past few weeks, Apple has been teasing some of the apps that will be available on the visionOS App Store. And to help users find new apps, the developers behind MoneyCoach have created a website that highlights visionOS apps.

watchOS 10.4 and iOS 17.4 betas introduce a new toggle on Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2. The new setting is specifically to avoid a conflict between the Apple Watch and Apple Vision Pro when gesturing.

In addition to not letting you rearrange home screen icons, visionOS 1.0 also doesn’t support the ability to pin web apps to the home screen. This limitation was pointed out by Brian Tong in his excellent Vision Pro review on YouTube.

One of the Vision Pro features I’m most excited to try is using it as an external display for my Mac. While I wait on my Vision Pro to arrive on Friday, some of the early reviews published today offer our first look at this feature in practice.
